História

Dubno leží na južnom okraji Cerovej vrchoviny, pri hornom toku Gortvy, blízko hraníc s Maďarskom. Prvá zmienka o obci Dobfenek je z roku 1427, no podľa historika Bálinta Ilu ju založili obyvatelia Gemerského Jablonca už v roku 1273. Dubno sa vyvíjalo ako samostatná obec až do 70-tych rokov 20. storočia, kedy bola zlúčená z Gemerským Jabloncom. Činnosť obecného úradu sa znovu obnovila až po roku 1989. Obec je známa najmä nálezmi bronzových predmetov z obdobia kyjatickej kultúry. Jej dominantou je rímskokatolícky kostol z roku 1427, ktorý bol v roku 1927 prestavaný. V časti dubnianskeho katastra sa rozprestiera vodná nádrž Petrovce, ktorá je považovaná za jeden z najlepších rybárskych revírov na Slovensku. Z obce je možné urobiť si krásne vychádzky do chránenej krajinnej oblasti Cerová vrchovina.

Dubno is located on the left side of Cerová vrchovina upstream Gortva, near borders with Hungary. The first mention about the village Dobfenek is from the year 1427 but according to the historian Bálint Ila it was founded by inhabitants of Gemerský Jablonec as early as 1273. Dubno developed as independent village to the 70´s of 20th century when it was integrated to Gemerský Jablonec. Activity of the municipal office was renewed after the year 1989. The village is known chiefly for findings of bronze tools from the period of Kyjatická culture. The dominant of the village is a Roman Catholic church from 1427, that was rebuilt in 1927. In the part of Dubno area the dam Petrovce extands, which is consider to be the zone Cerová vrchovina.

Dubno liegt in südlichem Rand des Hügellandes Cerová vrchovina, beim oberen Strom des Baches Gortva, neben den Grenzen mit Ungarn. Die erste Erwähnung über das Dorf Dobfenek stammt aus dem Jahre 1427, aber laut dem Geschichtsforscher Bálinta Ila wurde es schon im Jahre 1273 von den Einwohnern des Gemersky Jablonec gegründet. Dubno wurde als selbständiges Dorf bis zum 70-er Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts, wenn es mit Gemersky Jablonec verbunden wurde. Die Tätigkeit des Gemeindeamtes wurde erst nach dem Jahr 1989 wiedererneuert. Das Dorf ist hauptsächlich mit Entdeckungen den Bronzegegenständen von Zeitalter der ´´kyjatischer´´ Kultur (1100 – 700 v. Chr.). Die Dominante des Dorfes bildet römischkatholische Kirche aus dem Jahre 1427, die im Jahre 1927 umgebaut wurde. Im Teil des dunbniansky Katasters breitet sich der Stausee Petrovce, der als ein von den besten Angelgebiete in der Slowakei gilt. In der Umgebung könnte man schöne Ausflüge in Landschaftsschutzgebiet Cerova vrchovina unternehmen.
